Welcome to our blog! I want to use this as an opportunity to create an on-going "scrapbook" of our family. I am also hoping to use this as a way to keep our family and friends updated on the latest of what is happening in our crazy little household!

Daddy, Daughter Moments

I am a multi-tasker by nature although at times is looks more like ADD than anything. I find myself doing one thing, and then getting sidetracked by another job I need to be doing and then getting sidetracked once more, remembering that I was doing something that I never finished the first time! Vicious cycle, I must say! This night was no different!
Preface: It is a mad dash to get Kamryn fed when we get home from work and daycare. I even feed her in my work clothes! Paul hates that I do that. The first thing he does when he gets home from work is change his clothes! I don't mind being in pretty clothes all day!
Well, on this particular night I must have felt the need to put Kamryn directly into the bath after she ate. While she is in the bathtub, I realized that her her mattress is on the floor in her room because I had stripped her bed before work to wash her sheets. (This is where the ADD, I mean, multitasking, kicks in.) I drag my loving husband , still in his dress clothes, in to the bathroom and ask him to sit with Kam while I work on the bed.
Anyhoo...
I was in Kamryn's room putting new sheets on her bed. (If you know anything about putting crib sheets on, you know that it is a tedious job that is similar to wrestling a small alligator!) Paul had gotten Kamryn out of the bath and was getting her dry, lotioned up and dressed in our room. (I am usually the bath giver, so this process was not a routine for my hubby!) While I am wrestling the alligator, I hear Paul chatting with Kamryn and it goes something like this, "Ok, lets put some of this lotion on... lets try it like this! "(insert the sound of a lotion bottle squirting here) I then quickly yell out, "Paul that lotion comes out really fas........." All I hear from the bedroom is Paul saying, "Oh no, oh no! I ruined her! I ruined her! She is all greasy!" And Kamryn giggling in the background! Needless to say, it was one of those priceless moments! I walked into the bedroom and Kamryn was a greasy mess, but she had the cutest smile on her face! And her Daddy was just as smiley! :)
